Edited is a useful tool to help recognise trends both current and upcoming. Its in-depth data comes in handy for work- making use of knowing what is thriving in the fashion world as well as personal leisure- feeling inspired on what to pick up for next season’s wardrobe.
A prominent trend this A/W, remaining stable, has been animal print. Foreseen at fashion week earlier this year, designers including Tom Ford were keen to ensure animal print would dominate our wardrobes- on coats, leggings, bags, everywhere. When the season has come around, Zara is the top brand stocking this trend, with Mango and Boohoo following.

I always find it interesting witnessing what trends are present as quite often they’re a bit of a love-hate thing, where I’m either buying into them or really not. Personally, I’ve loved the animal print trend and have enjoyed how it’s been portrayed as younger, more wearable and versatile, banishing the Cat Slater image I once immediately associated prints- particularly leopard print with. Animal print this season has been made accessible and affordable (the mass market segment is 56.5%) whilst looking fashionable too.
The variety of prints and the ways in which they can be worn has meant even though it ultimately is a trend and a mass amount of people are following it, people can adapt it to suit their individual style. I opted for a Topshop brown and black zebra print dress- which has been my favourite purchase of the season.
